Hike around the Fuschlsee

Bright turquoise, sparkling like a gemstone and on some days a deep impenetrable blue - Lake Fuschl near Salzburg is a very special body of water and shows that it doesn't always have to be a mountain. The lake is also a wonderful place to hike.

The lake, with an area of 2.7 km², is nestled in the impressive mountain landscape and offers various leisure activities - from cozy restaurants to boat rentals. A very special highlight is the circular trail: walk for almost three hours on picturesque paths along the water past farms, picturesque flower meadows and quaint houses. The small sandy beaches in particular always give you the feeling of a beach vacation. Here you can take the opportunity to dip your feet in the refreshing water. But beware - although Lake Fuschl is considered a bathing area thanks to its many leisure pools, the water in the lake only reaches a maximum temperature of 20 degrees, even in summer. Not for hot showers.
